Miss Caprice Sherwood

Biography

  

Caprice Sherwood is 20 years old and started her career of dance at age two dancing in her hometown, Unity Saskatchewan.  Here, she completed majority of her training in dance.  Throughout the years, she had trained in various genres including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Pointe.  Caprice attended competitions from age five, achieving many awards and acknowledgments.

Miss Caprice has successfully completed her Advanced Tap Exam through the Canadian Dance Teachers Association and her Intermediate Ballet Exam through The Royal Academy of Dance.  She started her teaching experience as a student through Revolution Dance and knew this was something she never wanted to stop doing.  Since the 2017/2018 dance season, Miss Caprice has been a part of our teaching staff at Biggar School of Dance; leading students to success with multiple awards for choreography and student/group achievements.  She is currently working on her Yoga Teacher Certificate, Restorative Yoga Teacher Certificate, Chair Yoga Teacher Certificate, Ayurveda Specialist Certificate, and Meditation Enrollment.

Caprice is now in her third year of nursing school in the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing program through the University of Regina and Saskatchewan Polytechnic.  She hopes to continue her career in dance as it has always been a passion of hers.  Miss Caprice feels the dance studio has always been her second home; were another family is created and lifelong friendships are made.  Her goal is to form a working relationship with her students to achieve goals and a loving commitment to dance. 

 

Miss Christina Wall

Biography

  

Miss Christina Wall has been dancing competitively since the age of six years old, training in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. She has competed all across Canada as well as participated in competitions in New York, and Florida She has trained extensively in all forms of dance including Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Lyrical but her specialty lies in ballet. She has completed all of her advanced Ballet exams through the Royal Academy of Dance. The 2020-2021 season has Miss Christina moving on from our studio, however we are pleased to till be using her choreography this year with her support.

   

Miss Teigan Furber

Biography

 

Teigan Furber was born and raised in Tisdale, Saskatchewan where she danced at the Tisdale Dance Centre under the direction of Dana Mutimer. Teigan has trained in various genres of dance including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop and Pointe, her favourites being Tap and Hip Hop.


After successfully completing all grades of Candian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA) Tap and Jazz examinations, Royal Academy of Dancing (RAD) children’s Ballet examinations, and Intermediate RAD Vocational examination, Teigan successfully completed her CDTA Associates Tap and Jazz exams and Licentiate Jazz Exam. Successful completion of these exams allows Teigan to offer technical training with the option for students to examine in Tap and Jazz. Teigan also holds the Module 1 Acrobatic Arts teaching qualification. 


Teigan began her teaching career as a student teacher at the Tisdale Dance Centre where she enjoyed teaching students of all ages. Teigan has been Teaching dance professionally for four years. Teigan has entered numerous successful candidates in Tap & Jazz exams as well as taught competitive classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, and Hip Hop for which her choreography has been awarded.


Outside of teaching dance, Teigan is completing her final year of a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Accounting) at the University of Saskatchewan. You can also find Teigan working at Dance Street in Saskatoon on the weekends. Teigan is excited to return to the teaching team at Biggar School of Dance for the 2020/2021 dance season teaching Acro, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Ballet, Pointe, Tap & Jazz exam, and the adult dance class.
