Teigan Furber was born and raised in Tisdale, Saskatchewan where she danced at the Tisdale Dance Centre under the direction of Dana Mutimer. Now residing in Biggar with her partner & two cats, Teigan is the Artistic Director of Biggar School of Dance. Teigan holds various teaching qualifications including Licentiate status with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA) in Tap & Jazz and Module 2 Acrobatic Arts certification. Teigan has been teaching dance professionally for nine years during which she has entered numerous successful candidates in Tap & Jazz exams and received several choreography & teaching awards. Notably, Teigan was awarded the Inspirational Teacher award at The Collective Dance Challenge this past season.
Always searching for professional development opportunities, Teigan is participating in teacher education programs such as WhereWe Connect teacher camp, the CDTA hip hop studies program, and the Dance Leadership Institute.
Outside of the dance studio, Teigan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Saskatchewan. You can find Teigan working as an accountant and preparing the final submissions for the CPA program when she’s not teaching dance or partnering with her sister to run a travelling Swim School! Of all the hats she wears, Dance Educator is her favourite.

Caprice Ganter is twenty five years old and started her career of dance at age two dancing in her hometown, Unity Saskatchewan. Here, she completed majority of her training in dance. Throughout the years, she has trained in various genres including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Pointe. Caprice attended competitions from age five, achieving many awards and acknowledgments. Miss Caprice has successfully completed her Advanced Tap Exam with honours through the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA) and her Intermediate Ballet Exam through The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).
She started her teaching experience as a student through Unity School of Dance and knew this was something she never wanted to stop doing. Since the 2017/2018 dance season, Miss Caprice has been a part of the teaching staff at Biggar School of Dance; leading students to success with multiple awards for choreography and student/group achievements.
She now holds her Pre-Associates in both tap and ballet with the CDTA. Caprice has done syllabus training in Ballet through CDTA’s in both junior and senior levels. She aspires to become a Licentiate and guide dancers with examination opportunities in the future. She also has become a member of the CDTA’s Health & Wellness committee, and has held this position since 2023. This fall, Miss Caprice plans to gain further knowledge in contemporary. With more syllabus training, teacher classes, & overall inspiration, she can’t wait to share all things new with her students.
Caprice Ganter is also a Registered Nurse with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Currently working with Prairie Branches as the Nurse Consultant in four communities.
She has completed her Yoga Teacher Certificate. Then furthered her education obtaining extended training in restorative yoga, chair yoga, and meditation certifications. As well as becoming an Ayurveda Specialist.
However, her biggest achievement was becoming a mom in 2022, and relocating back to Unity with her husband. Caprice has planted her roots in her hometown, & plans to always have dance apart of her life!

Makenna Furber started her dance training at the age of 3 with the Tisdale Dance
Centre under the instruction of Dana Mutimer. Here she trained in Tap, Jazz, Ballet,
Pointe, Modern, Lyrical, Acro, & Hip Hop. She completed her CDTA Advanced Jazz and
Tap exams and her RAD Grade 7 and Advanced 2 Ballet exams. Throughout the years
of training in Tisdale, she assisted and taught as well. Makenna is currently taking her
Certificate in Dance Teaching (Ballet) by correspondence through the Royal Academy
of Dance in London UK. This program dives deep into childhood development, dance
pedagogy, anatomy of the dancing body, and classroom management. Upon
completion of this 2 year program Makenna will obtain Registered Teacher Status with
the Royal Academy of Dance and will have the opportunity to begin entering students in
Ballet exams.
Makenna holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Regina. Outside
of the dance studio Makenna works as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive
Care Unit at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital. Makenna also owns and operates
Swimming Lessons @yourtownhere providing swimming lesson and lifeguarding
courses to communities around the province.
This is Miss Makenna’s 5th season at Biggar School of Dance!
